After an extensive period of visioning activities (see 2004: Developing the Community Strategy), Dosti again played a pivotal role in involving people in consultation on a draft strategy.

The first activity was the development of a touring Forum Theatre workshop. Fizzog Theatre Group was commissioned to perform a 40 minute play based on the ideas in the Community Strategy. Following each performance the characters had a discussion with audience members about things in the story. The discussions were videoed and feedback used to inform the final version of the Community Strategy. 100 people participated in the Forum Theatre workshops, which were run over 10 dates in lots of community venues.

The other way in which Dosti developed key activities during the consultation phase was through a framework for a consultation workshop with groups. Dosti staff trained 52 people to deliver the workshop and provided packs and resources to use in the workshops. 24 consultation workshops were held in 2005.
