Dudley's Strategic Housing and Environment Partnership (SHEP) Board facilitates and
co-ordinates the delivery of identified strategic environmental and housing objectives linked to national, regional and local priorities and makes recommendations to the Dudley Community Partnership.
SHEP delivers activities through 3 partnership implementation groups:
Dudley Housing Partnership Environmental Improvement Group Physical Activity in the Community Environment Group (PAiCE)
Working in partnership to facilitate a co-ordinated strategic approach to the provision and enhancement of parks, green spaces and physical activities opportunities across the borough
Voluntary and Community Sector Involvement
Simon Biggs, Chair of the Energy, Waste and Pollution Working Group and member of Dosti Executive, has recently joined the SHEP's Board.
Click here to read Simon's feedback from his first meeting, in June 2007.
In the feedback Simon explains why he is involved:
"I am there to ensure that the community and voluntary sector is consulted at all levels about decisions and is able to become fully involved with the delivery of strategic targets. What impressed me most about this group of people, apart from their obvious dedication to and enthusiasm for their various departments, was their constant concern that the community and voluntary sector was not left out or overlooked."
Marianne Dillar, from Friends of the Leasowes, attends the Physical Activity in the Community Environment Group, and feeds back through the Green Spaces Forum which Friends Groups attend.
