Small Groups Network Print E-mail
Who We Are

The Small Groups Network aims to help small groups (those with up to £5,000 income a year) to influence national, regional and local agendas, share knowledge, expertise and good practice, find out about funding opportunities and access training.
The network meets on a quarterley basis and to date has been given the opportunity to influence the Dudley Compact Funding Code of Practice which is one of a number of codes that supports the Compact.
As a result of groups requesting opportunities through the network to learn about different funding opportunities available, guest speakers from a number of grant programmes have attended meetings.

Dudley Small Groups Network is also a mechanism for promoting the support available to individual groups from Dudley CVS. The small group’s development service can help groups with:
  • Information and advice about setting up a community group
  • Training
  • Finding funding so your group can make a difference
  • Getting the paperwork in place so your group can grow and be eligible for funding.
Network activities 08-09

  • Hold quarterly meetings with members
  • Work on Dosti's Axis of Influence to explore levels of influence small groups have
  • Keep small groups informed on opportunities for funding and sustainability, national, regional and local agendas and initiatives
