Between 2000 and 2006 Dosti was given money by the government to bring together community groups and voluntary organisations in Dudley Borough. The government wanted us to encourage community and voluntary organisations to work together to exercise greater influence, control and responsibility over decisions made by key partnerships in the Borough (such as the Dudley Community Partnership).

 

The government withdrew funding for Community Empowerment Networks after March 2006, so since then Dosti has been funded by Neighbourhood Renewal Funding from the Dudley Community Partnership.
