Dudley Women's Forum

Who We Are:

Dudley Women’s Forum aims to empower women to influence tackle inequalities and support the development in Dudley. The forum is made of women from across the borough of Dudley and aspires to:

Influence policies
Celebrate the work of local women's groups
Empower women
Raise awareness of women's issues
Create a louder voice for women in the community

Our Priorities for 08-09:

We aim to:

Have a better understanding of the Dudley Community Partnership and themed groups
Explore the Gender Duties Equalities Act and it’s relevance to work in Dudley
Find out more about LINKS
Link with Action for Disabled People and Carers and engAGING around relevant issues

Network activities 08-09:

After a successful International Women's Day in March 2008 and a number of sessions working through Dosti's Axis of Influence, Dudley Women's Forum has been developing an action plan. The forum will be focussing on the following activities this year:

Ongoing work on Dosti's Axis of Influence.
Work with the LINKs Network
Planning for International Women's Day March 2009
